Law Signs 2-Year Deal with G&W Motorsports

PHOENIX, Ariz. (February 15, 2002) - The winning combination of Darren Law and G&W Motorsports will stay in place for the few years. Law signed a 2-year agreement to continue to be the lead driver in G&W Motorsports' efforts.

"I am happy to continue my relationship with G&W," Law said. "The team is a first class operation and we all work really well together."

The chemistry between the two has been remarkable. This season will mark Law's fourth year with the team. Over that time, Law won the 2001 Grand-Am GT driver championship and G&W Motorsports has won back-to-back GT team championships (2000&2001).

Although Law's time in the Grand-Am series is reserved for G&W, he and the team are open to Law exploring options in other series.

"While Darren's contract allows him to be utilized by G&W for testing and racing our cars and preparing for the new Daytona Prototype, he is also going to be made available to drive a wide variety of cars to keep him sharp," team owner Cole Scrogham said.

Throughout the years, Law has grown with the G&W group. After winning the GT championships, G&W decided it was time to move up to a quicker class. This season Law is the lead driver in the #07 Momentum Motorsports/USI Insurance/Valley Group/G&W Motorsports BMW-powered Picchio Prototype.

Throughout the 2002 season, Law will also have the task of assisting the G&W team as design and assemble their new Daytona Sport Protoype. Law will be involved in the testing of the new car. The team plans to run the protoype in the 2003 Grand-Am season.

"The new Picchio SRPII and Prototype project will be keeping him busy between flying to Virginia International Raceway and keeping our vital sponsors Momentum Motorcars, USI Insurance and the Valley Group pleased with their participation in our program."
