CTS Automotive Products Awarded Registration To ISO14001 International Environmental Standard

    ELKHART, Ind.--Feb. 15, 2002--CTS Corporation today announced that its Automotive Products manufacturing facility, located in Elkhart, Indiana, was awarded ISO 14001 Registration, effective December 1, 2001, by ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc., a global registration/certification company headquartered in Houston, Texas.
    The ISO 14001 Certificate of Compliance certifies that the environmental management system (EMS) of CTS Automotive Products meets the requirements set forth by ISO 14001:1996, applicable to the design and manufacture of position sensors and other sensors sold to the automotive industry.
    ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized voluntary standard that specifies requirements for environmental management systems. It was issued in 1996 by the International Organization for Standards (ISO) headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. ISO 14001 was developed through a consensus process with participation by nearly 50 countries and hundreds of representatives to various national Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs). Over 100 countries have endorsed the ISO 14001 Standard, which is applicable to all types and sizes of organizations.
