Johnson Controls Appoints Susan Kampe Vice President of Information Technology - North America

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Feb. 14 -- Johnson Controls has named Susan Kampe as vice president and general manager of Information Technology - North America at the company's Automotive Systems Group.

is responsible for leading and coordinating the automotive unit's Information Technology initiatives in the North American region. She also is directing the activities of the Collaborative Commerce and E-Business organizations in North America.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Kampe served for the past year as director of Information Technology Strategy and Deployment at Ford Motor Company. Before that, she was chief executive officer at Boston-based Fleetscape.com, an ArvinMeritor/Accel Partners venture. Kampe has extensive automotive experience, including service as vice president of Information Technology for the Heavy Vehicle Systems Division at Rockwell International; director of Global Information Systems and Services at AlliedSignal Automotive; and manager of Manufacturing Systems - North America at ITT Automotive.

In 1980, Kampe earned a Master's of Business Administration Degree from Bowling Green State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Production Operations Management and Materials and Procurement Management from Bowling Green.
