Ronald Sessions Named Senior Editor of Motor Trend Magazine
LOS ANGELES--Feb. 14, 2002--Ronald L. Sessions, 52, has been named a Senior Editor at Motor Trend magazine, it was announced today by Kevin Smith, Editor-in-Chief.Mr. Sessions brings experience and expertise in automotive magazines to the Motor Trend team, and will be playing a central role in planning and executing road tests, comparisons and feature articles. "Ron is a consummate pro, one of the fine editorial talents in our field," said Kevin Smith. "We are hugely fortunate to be bringing him on board at this time when we're re-energizing the magazine and the entire Motor Trend enterprise. His facility with magazine production, scheduling and all-around quality control will be especially valuable to us."
Mr. Sessions joins Motor Trend with more than 25 years of experience in automotive journalism. His lengthy career at Road & Track (1987-2000) earned him over 15 awards not only for Road & Track Specials, including Open Road, the 4wd Adventure Magazine and Exotic Cars Quarterly, but for video productions as well. In the last few years, Mr. Sessions played a major role in DrivingMedia Inc.'s automotive web portal as the senior staff editor, and was senior copywriter for The Designory Inc., where he worked with Mercedes-Benz USA.
Mr. Sessions received a B.S. in Communications from Temple University in 1973. He resides in Mission Viejo, California with his wife.
