    CORALVILLE, Iowa--Feb. 13, 2002--Heartland Express, Inc. announced that Russell A. Gerdin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John P. Cosaert, Chief Financial Officer, and Michael Gerdin, Vice-President of Regional Operations will speak to the investment community at the Deutsche Bank Global Transportation Conference in Naples, Florida on February 14, 2002 at 11:55 a.m. EST.

    Heartland Express, Inc. is an irregular route truckload carrier of general commodities.
