Multimedia Available: NHTSA Joins DaimlerChrysler as it Launches First Nationwide Toll-Free Number to Help Parents Find Child Safety Seat Inspections

    Four out of 10 parents and caregivers do not know how to find a child safety seat inspection location even with more than 1,500 car seat inspection locations now available nationwide, according to a new survey. In response, DaimlerChrysler Corporation today launches the first nationwide toll-free hotline (866/SEAT-CHECK) dedicated exclusively to directing parents to local car seat inspection resources.
