ADVISORY/American Honda to Announce Details of Civic Tour 2002

WHAT:   Scheduled to be announced at a press conference in New York
        City, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. will unveil details of
        its alliance with one of today's most popular musical groups,
        who will drive Civic Tour's 2002 run.

        The second annual Civic Tour is a unique promotion that allows
        fans to catch their favorite acts and have a chance at winning
        a 2002 Honda Civic custom-designed and autographed by the
        headlining band. Civic Tour 2002 will expand on last year's
        successful inaugural Civic Tour (which featured blink-182 in
        the spring and Everclear during the summer leg) by visiting
        larger venues and showcasing the all-new Civic Si.

WHO:    American Honda executives and members of the to-be-named
        multi-platinum selling band will be present to answer
        questions and discuss details about Civic Tour 2002 with
        members of the media.
