Covansys Completes $1.5 Million SAP Implementation For Carton Service, Inc.
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--Feb. 11, 2002--Covansys, a global consulting and technology services company, today announced the completion of a $1.5 million contract in which Covansys implemented an enterprise-wide solution to address critical business process issues on behalf of Shelby, Ohio-based Carton Service, Inc. (CSI).
Covansys, who has significant SAP implementation experience, particularly in the automotive and discrete manufacturing industries, was further selected to handle the outsourcing of the new SAP system's application maintenance and infrastructure support.
Established in 1926, CSI provides services for the design, layout, manufacturing and processing of high-quality folding cartons as well as contract packaging services to a wide range of customers. CSI selected Covansys to configure and implement an SAP R/3 suite of modules designed to not only automate CSI's entire supply chain, but also to Web-enable new customer service functions.

Covansys also helped the carton manufacturer innovate and develop new Web-enabled service offerings that allow CSI clients to check on their inventory and order status via the Internet.
