Secondary Equity Offering of International Speedway Corporation Prices
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--Feb. 8, 2002--International Speedway Corporation ("ISC") announced that on February 7, 2002, a public offering of 2,500,000 shares of its class A common stock commenced at a public offering price of $40.00 per share.The closing of the offering is expected to occur on February 13, 2002 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
The shares will be sold by Penske Performance, Inc., a subsidiary of Penske Corporation that is controlled by Roger Penske, Vice Chairman of International Speedway Corporation's Board of Directors. The offering also includes an option for the underwriters to purchase an additional 375,000 shares from the selling shareholder to cover over-allotments, if any. ISC will receive no proceeds from this offering.
Salomon Smith Barney Inc. is acting as the sole lead manager for this offering. First Union Securities, Inc., J.P.
