Hyatt To Host Benefit Gala and Stars and Cars Party
WASHINGTON, D.C., February 4, 2002 National Grand Prix Holdings, LLC
announced today the Hyatt Regency, Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill will be
the official headquarter hotel for the July 2002 National Grand Prix of
Washington, D.C.
The Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill will host numerous events and VIPs leading
up to and during July¹s race weekend. Highlights include a press conference
on February 5, a July 18 Charitable Gala and the "Stars and Cars" party on
Saturday night, July 20.
The gala, which marks the start of race weekend, will benefit Kennedy
Krieger Institute, an internationally recognized center for children with
developmental disabilities. The "Stars and Cars" party will feature many of
the drivers competing in the National Grand Prix as well as team owners,
race car manufacturers, celebrities and dignitaries.

National Grand Prix Holdings. "The hotel¹s proximity to RFK Stadium makes it

well as a great place to host the Benefit Gala and the "Stars and Cars
Party."

The National Grand Prix, which is coming to the grounds of RFK Stadium July
19-21, will feature races of four sanctioning bodies; American Le Mans
(ALMS), Trans-Am, World Challenge and Star Mazda. It will be the first major
auto-racing event in the D.C. metropolitan area in more than 80 years. The
ALMS race will be televised live on NBC and CBS will air the Trans-Am race.
The corresponding three-day festival will feature a concert, Lifestyle Expo
and a celebrity match race.
