Viasystems Group, Inc. Announces Board Member Retirements

    ST. LOUIS--Feb. 5, 2002--Viasystems Group, Inc. today announced that James N. Mills has retired as chairman of the company's board of directors. Mills had retired from his post as Viasystems' chief executive officer in July 2001. Replacing Mills will be Thomas O. Hicks, a Viasystems board member and chairman of the board of Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Incorporated.
    The company also announced that Thomas H. O'Brien has retired from the board. In May 2001, O'Brien retired from his position as chairman of the board of The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.
