Hella Of A Guy Skip Barnes To Guide York Plant

YORK, S.C., Feb. 4 -- William (Skip) Barnes, Jr. has been named manager of Hella Lighting Corporation's manufacturing plant in York, SC, according to Roman Thomassin, vice president of manufacturing.

Barnes will be responsible for production management, team development and production control at the plant, which currently assembles headlamp modules for various DaimlerChrysler vehicles.

Barnes previously had been manufacturing manager for Federal-Mogul's Visibility Group in Sevierville, TN, since 1978.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Penn State University.

A native of Coatesville, PA, Barnes now lives in York, SC with his wife and daughter.
