BULLET RACING TO JOIN THE HOOTER'S PRO CUP SERIES
Driver Scott Baker and the Bullet Racing Team will be competing in the Northern Division of USAR's Hooter's Pro Cup. Baker and the team have been competing in the Shooter's Ice Man Series, taking the championship in 1999. They have also been top place finishers in the Main Event Series, as well as many other late model series. Team Owner Mark Milstein made the decision to take the team to a higher level of competition in 2002, feeling the team was ready to advance to a larger touring series. "The team's mission statement, "Bullet Racing is dedicated to competing in a professional manner, excelling in performance and promotion at each venue, event or series in which they participate," will never be more important than now, as our team enters a new era of racing", stated Milstein.
Associate sponsorship has been secured with Tallmadge Asphalt of Tallmadge, Ohio. Tallmadge Asphalt is the oldest asphalt company in NE Ohio, celebrating their 55th Anniversary in 2002. They have experienced tremendous growth in the last 20 years, going from 15 employees in 1982, to 75 today. The company provides quality asphalt and concrete paving services, including excavation, curb work and marking, for the commercial and residential market. Owners Mike and Pam Sekulich enjoy fast cars and racing. "Pam and I are both a couple of motor heads, and are proud to be able to be involved with the Bullet Team, and Scott Baker," replied Mike when asked about their support of the team.
The team will continue to pursue other primary and associate sponsorships through the winter. Bullet Racing has developed a complete marketing package to offer potential sponsors, with the ability to tailor each package depending on the promotional needs and budget of the sponsor. From driver and car appearances to assistance with integrating motorsports into their other promotional campaigns, the Bullet Marketing Team has the diversity to make it happen.
"We are all very excited about our entry into the Hooter's Cup program, and I, personally, am looking forward to competing with some of the best short track drivers in the country," Baker continued, "This is a higher level of competition for me, and I know a new level of challenge and experience."
The Team will be releasing additional updates as the final plans are made for the car, and new sponsorships are secured.

DRT Announces Season Plans
DRT Enterprises is coming off their first season with the USAR Hooter's ProCup Series and is excited about making a return for these events. The team was more than satisfied with Tim Jr's performance and feel they accomplished a great deal last season in the Hooter's Series.
"Last season we accomplished what we set out to do," said Tim Sr., the owner of DRT Enterprises. "Timmy needed to get seat time in the bigger cars as it was a learning year for him. He gained a lot of experience running with the Hooter's Series. It would have taken years in the late models to get him that much seat time. It's tough when you step up to a professional series, especially as a young driver, but he performed very well."
The team competed in 14 events with the USAR Series. Tim Jr. had 7 top-twenty finishes during the year with a best finish of 10th at Illiana. He performed very well in qualifying throughout the season with a best of 7th at Winchester and 10 top-twenty runs.
"We have a long term plan for the team, and we are right on track. Timmy matured a lot last season. We feel confident that he will be a top contender in the events we have scheduled for him this year. We have to thank Jackaroo Sauces for everything they have done, but we couldn't make the commitment to be at every event with the other plans we are working on for this season as well as next year and into the future."
The team is working on other plans to fill out there 2002 schedule. Ethan Dixon, Director of DRT Sports Marketing says they are making progress towards what looks to be a major announcement concerning both that and the 2003 season in the next few months, but says the team will have more to say about that at a later date.
"We want to keep the team focused, and maintain the level of operation it takes to compete at the professional level. The USAR Hooter's ProCup Series does that, and this is a great opportunity for us to showcase the One Less Tear album to a national audience. The One Less Tear Project is amazing; we are just starting to really kick off promotions for it. Chuck Navasky (creator of the One Less Tear Project) has done something great, and the people that are involved with it will make this one of the most exciting and beneficial promotions we have ever done."
"We are working hard to find the right marketing partner to match with Tim Jr. He is a great individual, a very talented young driver, and will no doubt be a future star. We don't want to just find a partner for him, but we are looking to find the right one. There are many corporations out there, but we want to find one that shares our desire to go to the top."
As for Tim Jr. he is ready to build on his USAR Hooter's ProCup experience. "I really learned a lot last year. We got to run so many laps, and it made a big difference in what you could learn. You really had to pay attention to the car and what it was doing; you couldn't afford to be off. A tenth of a second could mean 10 positions in qualifying. But you also had to find balance; it wasn't a 30-lap sprint race. You had to get the most out of the car by using as little of it as you could, after 50 laps it would start to show, I really like the longer races."
"We made some really good contacts that will help us in the future. We have a number of things we are working on right now, and hopefully can make some announcements real soon. I'm really looking forward to this season, and it's great that we will be able to make this many shows with the Hooters Series. The people are great, the fans are great, and it's just a great series to be part of."
So be ready for the USAR Hooter's ProCup Series season opener at Jennerstown Speedway's April 13th, 2002 and look for Tim Bainey Jr. in the One Less Tear / DRT Enterprises #17.

DRT Enterprises Teams Up With One Less Tear
DRT Enterprises has announced it will field a car for Tim Bainey Jr. to promote the One Less Tear album in a select number of USAR Hooter's ProCup Series Events during the 2002 season.
A number of major recording artists, sports celebrities, and famous entertainers have joined forces to help find a cure for cancer through an amazing project that has created the inspirational One Less Tear album. All proceeds from the album will be distributed equally among some of the world's most renowned cancer research and medical organizations including Children's Health Environmental Coalition, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Memorial Sloan-Ketering Cancer Center.
The newly released One Less Tear album is the result of a project that was created by Chuck Navasky. Chuck is the president of Falcone Menswear, a long time marketing partner with DRT Enterprises that manufactures men's high fashion clothing. Two years ago Chuck's life was changed when he was diagnosed with a stage 3 cancerous tumor on his vocal chord. "After the nightmare of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and the endless tests, it looked like God had given me a second chance at life," Chuck said. "What I chose to do with that second chance is what One Less Tear is all about."
Chuck decided he was going to make a difference, but he wasn't satisfied with his small-scale philanthropic contributions. He thought, "I've got to be able to do more..." His ventures as president of the 110-year-old Falcone company, had led him to meet and befriend a variety of high profile individuals over the years. Chuck wanted to make a difference so he called upon some of these friends to discuss his idea, and the One Less Tear Project was born.
The amazing line-up of artists on the album include the country group Ricochet, Donnie & Johnny Van Zant (38 Special & Lynard Skynard), Mark Slaughter, Kevin Sharp, Tia McGraff, Vince Neil (formerly of Motley Crue), Olivia Newton-John, Cahal Dunne, Dale Russell, and Chuck Navasky (creator of One Less Tear). Several sports celebrities and famous entertainment names have also been added to the roster in an effort to raise awareness to this project. Among them are Mario Lemieux, Eddie George, Tony Dorsett, Mel Blount, Kurt Angel, Paul Azinger, Curtis Martin, Larry Holmes, Nellie Briles, Robin Cole, Tony Curtis, L.C. Greenwood, Ken Griffey Sr, and Evander Holyfield. The project includes a CD, a documentary film, music video, and a soon to be announced nationwide tour by the One Less Tear Band.
The One Less Tear album will be available soon in all music stores nationwide, but copies can be ordered now buy going to www.timbaineyjr.com and clicking on "Get your copy".
Tim Jr. is excited about the new album and is becoming a very active spokesperson for the project. "I realize how fortunate I am, and I thank god that he allows our team to be in a position where we can do something like this. One Less Tear will make a difference in peoples lives and it is something that everyone needs to support.
Last year we got the chance to visit with some younger kids who were fighting cancer. They were hurting, but they were upbeat, smiling, and so tough. The battles they face are hard to imagine, and its terrible how this disease not only takes it toll on them but also their families and friends. There was a girl I was really close to, and her dad died from cancer when she was 17. It was so hard just to watch her. It really tore me up inside knowing how badly it was hurting her. So many times I thought to myself, 'I would give anything to see this stop.' It's hard to tell you how much I meant that. Believe me, I would have given anything to see her smiling instead."
"We are very close to Chuck, and we were there supporting him through his battle with cancer. We saw how hard it was on him, his family, and his friends. It was such a long and trying struggle, but fortunately he beat cancer. The thing about cancer is the affect it has on so many people in so many different ways. Addressing those affects is what One Less Tear is about. If our help can stop just one young girl, one dad, one mom, one little sister, one brother, from having to suffer in anyway then it will be worth it all."
"The songs on this album are amazing. They have very powerful messages and are really inspirational. There is something for everyone, from country to rock - there is even a song performed by a kids' choir. It is really great, not only for what you or someone close to you will get out of the music, but all the proceeds go towards these battles. I strongly encourage everyone to support this fight. For only $10 you can join the fight against cancer by buying the One Less Tear CD, which is not asking a lot. There are so many loyal fans that follow the Hooter's ProCup Series. I know race fans are great people, and when they believe in supporting something you can't stop them. If we can get them to just take a look at this album and see what its about I am sure they'll love it. Racing fans have the potential to do a lot for this battle. When you buy the One Less Tear album you not only get an excellent CD filled with inspirational songs, but you're giving something even greater. Think of the people close to you, if it happened to them, what would you give to see them shed just One Less Tear?"
Tim Bainey Sr., owner of the team, shares a close friendship with Chuck and feels a very personal connection to the One Less Tear album. "It means a lot to me to be able to do this. Chuck is one of my best friends. When he was diagnosed with cancer, it was really hard for me to believe that this happened to one of my closest friends. He really fought through it, and he's here today with us. You don't know how much that means. It's great what Chuck has done with the One Less Tear album. We are going to help him out in any way that we can. I'm thankful that we're in a position where we can fund our team at these levels. When we made plans to run a mixed schedule this season, I knew we were going to spend a lot of our own money. Chuck has always helped us out through his Falcone company, and when we were deciding where to go this idea came to me. I know the kind of people involved with Hooter's and the USAR Series, and they are good people. The One Less Tear album will really fit in with the whole atmosphere of the USAR Hooter's ProCup Series.
