Aura Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--Feb. 4, 2002--Aura Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: AURA) announced today the appointment of Steve Burdick as the Company's new Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer.
    The Board of Directors unanimously approved his appointment. Mr. Burdick, who is a CPA, has served as a senior financial executive in both publicly traded and private companies. He has previously served as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP and most recently as Chief Financial Officer at TRW Ventures. ¶ Mr. Burdick's experience include such industries as engineering and construction contracting, telecommunications, high-tech manufacturing, federal government contracting as well as managing the IPO process and other debt and equity financial transactions. He was involved in raising funds through venture capital markets, investment banking firms and initial public offerings. Furthermore, Mr. Burdick's experience spans financial accounting, US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting as well as business planning, cash flow and cost management. ¶ Carl Albert, Chairman of the Search Committee said, "We are pleased to have such an experienced executive join the Company and become part of Aura's new management." ¶ Mr. Steve Veen, Aura's outgoing CFO, will work closely with Mr. Steve Burdick during a transition period to assure an orderly transition.
