Strong XL-7 Sales Start Suzuki 30 Percent Ahead

BREA, Calif., Feb. 1 -- The XL-7 started the New Year with strong sales, posting a 30-percent increase over January 2001 sales. The XL-7 recorded 1,425 sales, while the Grand Vitara posted 818 sales for January. The Esteem Sedan and Wagon started the year with 631 sales and Vitara notched 533 sales, a solid 21-percent increase over the month last year.

The Automotive Division of American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC), Brea, Calif., was founded in 1985 by Suzuki Motor Corporation.
