Cadillac Puts Fans in the Driver's Seat with Super Bowl MVP Award Partnership

Cadillac Combines Power and Prestige in its Partnership with the NFL and The Super Bowl MVP Award Encouraging Fans to Vote for the MVP

DETROIT - In the tradition of prestige and excellence, Cadillac has aligned with the NFL to become the official vehicle of the Super Bowl for the next three years, beginning with Super Bowl XXXVI in New Orleans. The three-year arrangement enables GM to promote Cadillac vehicles during this high-profile event in a variety of ways. Elements include sponsorship of the game's MVP presentation, hospitality, exposure at NFL events and parties and advertising on Superbowl.com. Cadillac will also feature all-new luxury vehicles in a 60-second TV spot slated to run during the Super Bowl, February 3 on Fox.

Cadillac's sponsorship of the MVP Award will put fans in the "driver's seat" by allowing them to vote on-line for the player they feel deserves the award. Beginning in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, fans may cast their ballots on the Superbowl.com MVP Ballot presented by Cadillac. The fan vote will count for roughly 20 percent, with 15 on-site media members representing the other 80 percent.

This year, immediately following the game, Cadillac will present the MVP Award recipient a set of keys to the all-new Escalade EXT. The all-new Escalade EXT is the first SUT (Sport Utility Truck) that combines a luxury SUV and a premium pickup truck. The EXT offers the luxuries Cadillac customers expect, with the extended cargo capabilities of a pickup truck. The Escalade EXT presentation will be done on the field following the conclusion of the Super Bowl when Fox Sports' Terry Bradshaw announces the MVP during the Post-Game celebrations and presentations.

In addition, during Super Bowl week, Cadillac will be holding a press conference on Thursday, January 31 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center hosted by Fox Sports' Terry Bradshaw. Six of the nine past New Orleans MVPs will be at the press conference to discuss their favorite memories and experiences while playing at the Louisiana Superdome. Among those in attendance will be Joe Montana, Desmond Howard, Richard Dent, Randy White, Franco Harris and Len Dawson.

To get fans excited about this prestigious award in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, Superbowl.com has been asking surfers to log on and vote for their favorite all-time Super Bowl MVP. The Ultimate Super Bowl MVP Tournament presented by Cadillac gives fans an opportunity to determine the greatest Super Bowl performance of all-time. The contest has pitted 16 of the past Super Bowl MVPs against one another in two brackets, leaving one man standing as the fans' favorite performance. The winner of The Ultimate Super Bowl MVP Tournament presented by Cadillac will be announced during this press conference.

"This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to match America's premier luxury vehicle, Cadillac with this country's most popular, prestigious, highly-anticipated and widely viewed sporting event, the Super Bowl," said Mark LaNeve, Cadillac general manager. "Like all MVP Award winners, Cadillac is known for combining power and performance with over 100 years of heritage and tradition."

Cadillac is a division of GM and markets the all-new CTS luxury sedan, DeVille, Eldorado, Seville, Escalade sport utility vehicle, and all-new Escalade EXT sport utility truck.
