Ernesto Fonseca To Sit Out Round 3 of the AMA / EA Sports Supercross series


Honda Racing's Ernesto Fonseca crashed in practice last week at the
Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA, and sprained his right arm. In the
incident, Fonseca's right elbow ligament was injured causing him to sit out
Round 2 in San Diego, and Round 3 in Anaheim, CA.


"The pain wasn't so bad," said Fonseca. "I had a tough time with arm pump
after the crash and it was difficult controlling the throttle. The doctor
decided that we sit out San Diego and Anaheim to let the area heal. I plan
on returning to race action in Phoenix, AZ next week."


Fonseca first injured his right arm in a practice crash sustained while
testing a few months ago. Fonseca will be present at this weekend's Anaheim
Supercross and will be signing autographs for his fans.
