Universal Computer Systems Announces Agreement with BMW
HOUSTON--Jan. 18, 2002--In a new agreement, Universal Computer Systems Inc. (UCS) will provide certain UCS Software interfaces and reports to BMW dealers who currently utilize the UCS Dealer Management System. This integration is a result of an agreement between UCS and BMW North America designed to benefit their dealers.This agreement provides BMW dealers the opportunity to receive BMW special software from UCS at no cost to the dealer. BMW dealers will have the following functionality in their UCS Computer System:
| -- | Parts Orders - Download stock orders, supplemental orders, and VOR orders created on the UCS Computer System and send them to BMW |
| -- | Parts Return - Download parts returns created in the UCS Parts Inventory Control system |
| -- | Financial Statement Reporting - Download financial statements created in the UCS Management Accounting software and send them to BMW |
| -- | Repair Orders - Download repair orders created in the Service Invoicing system |
| -- | Warranty Claims - Download warranty claims created in the Service Invoicing system |
| -- | Electronic Parts Catalog Interface - Transfer parts lists created on the BMW EPC application into a short inquiry or a parts invoice on the UCS Computer System |
| -- | DIMMAS Interface(a) - Automatically transfer the daily report of parts inventory activity at the dealership to BMW |
| -- | Customer Pay Repair Order Download(a) - Automatically report customer pay repair order information |
| -- | Workshop Report(a) - Print service performance reports |
| -- | Parts Report(a) - Print parts performance reports |
| -- | Service Pricing Guide - Access labor and parts pricing information for common BMW labor operations |
The agreement also provides for future development to be funded by BMW, thereby ensuring that BMW dealers utilizing the UCS Computer System continue to enjoy the tightest possible integration.
