Gehl Company Holds Annual Meeting; Fred M. Butler, William D. Gehl and John W. Splude Re-Elected as Directors
WEST BEND, Wis.--Jan. 17, 2002--Gehl Company , a manufacturer of compact construction and agricultural equipment, today announced that shareholders at the Company's Annual Meeting re-elected Fred M. Butler, William D. Gehl and John W. Splude as directors to hold office until the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders in 2004.Mr. Butler, 66, has served as a director of Gehl Company since 1995 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Compensation and Benefits Committee. He previously was President and Chief Executive Officer of The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (a NYSE-listed manufacturer of cranes, commercial ice cube machines and ships) from 1990 until his retirement in 1998.
William D. Gehl, 55, has served as a director of Gehl Company since 1987. He is currently Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gehl Company.
John W. Splude, 56, has served as a director of Gehl Company since 1995. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Compensation and Benefits Committee. He has served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of HK Systems, Inc. (an integrator of material handling systems and a provider of supply chain software solutions) since October, 1993.
