Kyle Seymour, senior vice president, UNOVA Industrial Automation Systems announced today two new appointments at Cincinnati Machine's U.S. operations.
Dan Janka has been named president of Cincinnati Machine's U.S.-based machinery business and will be responsible for its U.S. and worldwide operations. Bill Horwarth has been named vice president and general manager for Cincinnati PLUS(SM), the company's after-market support business. He will directly manage all after-market activities of Cincinnati PLUS in the U.S.
Janka steps into his position as president with 17 years experience at Cincinnati Machine, where he has held a number of managerial and customer relationship-focused positions.
He was instrumental in the development of the Composites Machinery business, in which Cincinnati is the recognized world leader. Janka previously was vice president and general manager of the company's Advanced Systems and Services Business. He received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and technology from Southern Illinois University.
Horwarth's new appointment as vice president and general manager will allow him to focus further on the company's already successful Cincinnati PLUS business. He has been with Cincinnati for more than 12 years and played a key role in the transformation of Cincinnati's after-market business from a simple parts operation to a comprehensive services business. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration, both from the University of Cincinnati.
"Cincinnati Machine has concentrated on maintaining operational excellence and developing customer-focused products and services, while trimming excess capacity throughout this very tough market slowdown," said Kyle Seymour. "With these appointments, we are putting people in charge who know how to grow a business, and that is their mission for Cincinnati going forward."
Cincinnati Machine is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of CNC machine tools, such as turning centers, vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers/cells, 5-axis machining centers, universal machining centers, profilers, routers and composite processing equipment. Additionally, Cincinnati PLUS(SM) provides the most comprehensive package of service and support available in the industry today. Industries served include aerospace, heavy equipment, fluid power and automotive, as well as small job shops.
