Motorsports 2002 Recap - Great Fun!
JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY & USAR ATTEND MOTORSPORTS 2002
Jennerstown, PA. -January 15, 2002- Jennerstown Speedway and United Speed
Alliance Racing recently teamed up to attend Motorsports 2002, presented
by
Len Sammons Productions Inc. January 11,12, & 13 at the Expo Center in
Fort
Washington, Pennsylvania. This was the seventeenth annual Motorsports
event,
allowing race fans and the racing industry the chance to come together
for
a
fantastic weekend featuring sanctioning bodies, tracks, teams, and
equipment
vendors, along with a vast array of everything related to auto racing.
Unofficial conservative estimates placed the three day crowds in excess of
30,000 as the entire Expo Center remained abuzz with the pent up energy
of
race fans seeking a unique experience. The display booth for Jennerstown
Speedway & USAR received a coveted space front & center, directly across
from the main entrances. This provided many of the race fans with the
chance
to get up close and personal with local USAR Hooters ProCup
Series/Northern
Division competitor Jimmy Burns, who also had his Montana West/Chevy
Monte
Carlo on display for everyone to see.
Jimmy and his team members were on hand for all three days, signing
autographs and fielding many questions from both race fans and aspiring
Hooters ProCup Series drivers. Jimmy was joined on Sunday by fellow
Hooters
ProCup Series driver Regan Smith, and the dynamic duo treated fans to an
autograph and photo blitz for most of the afternoon. Fans were also able
to
receive photos with Regan, Jimmy, and his race car. Informational
handouts
were available for fans to pick-up, including 2002 schedules for the
upcoming Hooters ProCup and Jennerstown Speedway racing seasons, while
watching videotape races from the 2001 USAR Hooters ProCup Series.
With the 2002 racing season quickly approaching, the time to reach out and
meet with race fans is here and now. The opportunity provided by Len
Sammons
Productions Inc., along with Motorsports 2002 is one that was truly
appreciated by both Jennerstown Speedway and United Speed Alliance
Racing.
