Mitsubishi Dominates Dakar Rally

Dakar, 01/15/2002 - The 24th Arras-Madrid-Dakar Rally was dominated by Mitsubishi off-road vehicles, with drivers using a Mitsubishi Pajero or the off-road pickup Mitsubishi L200 taking all of the top eight places. The 9,436-km race was won by Japan’s Hiroshi Masuoka, who came in 22 minutes ahead of last year’s winner, German teammate Jutta Kleinschmidt.
