Technical Ventures Supply New Car Market With Safe Resins
TORONTO, Jan. 15 -- The Board of Directors of Technical Ventures Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: TEVT - news) is pleased to announce the successful completion of a Research & Development project in the creation of proprietary polymer, composite and specialty compounds. Technical Ventures (TVI) is now poised to aggressively market their product line throughout North America.
In the last quarter of 2001, results of a study conduced by the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) were released to the public which indicated the potential hazard created by polyvinyl chloride (PVC) based products used in the manufacture of car interiors. This included dashboards, armrests and window visors. New car owners complained of headaches, lung irritations, the inability to focus and a feeling of fatigue. Chemical measurements of the air inside the vehicles tested also detected high concentrations of a number of confirmed or suspect cancer causing agents. CSIRO's work is one of the first attempts to quantify the problems of potential hazards created by the use of PVC's and other chemicals in cars.
TVI, with its proprietary cross-linked polyethylene foamable resins, is now capable of supplying the manufacturers that produce doors and side panels, seating, insulation, dash trim and roof and trunk liners. In addition to the safer air quality within the vehicle itself, the production of TVI's product is environmentally safe both inside and outside the production facility.
Technical Ventures Inc., through its subsidiary Mortile Industries Ltd., specializes in the development of proprietary thermoplastic compounds, composite compounds and speciality compounding.
