the pci group Implements Project Management Solutions at Ingersoll Cinetic Automation and Federal Mogul

    TROY, Mich.--Jan. 15, 2002--the pci group (pci) was awarded contracts with Ingersoll Cinetic Automation and Federal Mogul to implement project management solutions throughout the organizations for integration into their current business processes.
    Mark Pehrson, Director of Program Management at Ingersoll Cinetic, contracted pci to implement MS Project Central to enhance the management and delivery of assembly system build programs. Mr. Pehrson's vision was to create a central focal point for collection and viewing of all project related data as well as create common views and reports for analyzing and reporting project status data. According to Mr. Pehrson, "Project Central was the next step in taking our project management capability to where we can institute common processes across all of our programs and improving our on time delivery and pci helped us achieve this vision." pci established the methodology, processes, templates and reports to support this important initiative. The project began in September, 2001 and was completed in October, 2001.
    Dermot Madden, Director of Product Engineering, Automotive and Small Engine North American Pistons and Power Cylinder Systems at Federal Mogul, contracted pci to develop project management processes and templates that could be readily integrated into the organization's current business processes for completing Engineering Development Programs. Mr. Madden stated, "we recognize the need for more disciplined project management in the organization. We started by contracting pci to train our people in the fundamentals of project management. The next step was to implement project management concepts into the business and pci helped us to make this happen." The project began in September, 2001 and was completed in November, 2001.
