Mazda North American Operations Names James A. DiMarzio, CIO, Director of Information Technology

IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 10 -- Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) recently announced the appointment of James A. DiMarzio as CIO, director of information technology (IT).

Bringing more than 20 years of automotive and IT experience to MNAO, DiMarzio will report to Rich Valenstein, chief financial officer and vice president of finance, systems and administration, and will be responsible for all aspects of IT business by linking Mazda's business goals with technology.

DiMarzio most recently was senior vice president, chief information officer at Agency Holding Company, where he was responsible for the management of information systems for two companies. Prior to this position, he was General Manager of IT at Land Rover North America. And before that, he was business systems manager for Subaru of America, where he oversaw all sales operations and dealer systems related IS projects as well as directed the systems efforts in allocation and distribution of product.

DiMarzio graduated from Franklin & Marshall with a BA in mathematics and received an MBA from Rutgers University.

MNAO is responsible for the sales and marketing, customer parts and service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MNAO has more than 700 dealerships nationwide.
