AAA and Shop America Alliance Partner for Member Benefits At Outlet Stores and Malls

    ORLANDO, Fla.--Jan. 10, 2002--AAA and the Shop America Alliance have entered into a Show Your Card & Save(R) national partnership agreement to provide Shop America VIP benefits to nearly 45 million AAA and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members.
    Beginning Jan. 1, 2002, AAA and CAA members can receive a free coupon book or other valuable offers at more than 60 premier shopping malls and outlet centers throughout the United States. Benefits are available by presenting a AAA or CAA membership card at the customer service center of participating Shop America VIP destinations.
    Shop America locations can be found coast to coast and include such acclaimed shopping destinations as PIER 39, San Francisco; International Plaza, Tampa, Fla.; Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, Central Valley, N.Y.; Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas; and Great Lakes Crossing, Auburn Hills, Mich.

    Research conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Travel Industry Association continue to indicate shopping and dining are the top two activities for all leisure travelers from both domestic and international points of origin. The Shop America partnership will expand the already extensive member offerings of the AAA Show Your Card & Save program to include even more shopping benefits for AAA members.
