MyCarPage.com Posts Back-to-Back Profitable Quarters

    SANTA MONICA, Calif.--Jan. 10, 2002--

Success of CRM Tools and Acceptance of E-Mail Pave Way for a 68-Percent Growth in Revenue for Internet Company

MyCarPage.com(TM), the Santa Monica-based Internet company specializing in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products for the automotive industry, announced today it posted a positive fourth quarter -- its second profitable quarter in a row.
According to MyCarPage.com CEO C. Bryce Benjamin, the company reported a 68-percent year-over-year growth in revenue during the fourth quarter.
"2001 was a watershed year for us," Benjamin said. "There was a lot of skepticism about the survival of dot-coms that made the early going difficult. But now when I call on dealers, they tell me they want to talk to me about MyCarPage e-mail marketing because they know we're a real company. The results we produce for our customers have yielded the positive financial results for us."
Benjamin will discuss the strategies that led to the current success of MyCarPage.com at the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) convention in New Orleans. A press conference is set for Mon., Jan. 28 at 9 a.m., and MyCarPage.com will also be exhibiting at NADA in booth 3257.
Interval Inc. (dba MyCarPage.com) produces MyCarPage(TM), the Customer Value Matrix(TM) and Prospector(TM), which are designed to bolster long-term relationships between dealers and customers. MyCarPage.com's CRM products, which debuted in June 1999, are now used by hundreds of dealers across the country -- including 10 of the nation's top 50 dealers -- to reach nearly 2 million consumers.
Benjamin pointed to several key factors that were components of the company's success in 2001, including signing a license agreement with GSMarketing, a leading direct marketing supplier to the auto industry, which incorporated MyCarPage.com products into GSM's customer communications suite. GSM is the marketing arm of Gulf States Toyota, an independent distributor serving 140 dealers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
"But the biggest factor contributing to our 2001 success," Benjamin said, "has been our persistent message that e-mail communication with customers is here to stay. Dealers are becoming believers in increasing numbers every day."
