American Sunroofs Inalfa Formed By ASC & Inalfa

BRIGHTON, Mich., Jan. 9 -- Two of the top aftermarket products suppliers have established a company that will be the world's second largest aftermarket sunroof supplier.

American Sunroofs Inalfa officially begins operation today from headquarters in Brighton, Mich., the former base for Inalfa's aftermarket operations. The new business combines the aftermarket operations of ASC Incorporated and Inalfa Sunroofs, and will offer a full line of in-built, spoiler, folding and pop-up sunroofs and other accessory products through a North American installer network of nearly 300.

``Our new organization draws from the strongest qualities of each of these companies,'' said Larry Doyle, president and CEO of ASC. ``We will combine ASC's strong aftermarket service organization, brand network and national distribution with Inalfa's global technical resources and expertise in product development.''

Presently, the full aftermarket product lines of both Inalfa and ASC will be offered. Product development and testing, manufacturing and distribution will be centralized from the Brighton headquarters.

Plans are underway for the facility to also house an installation center, where product analysis and training is conducted and installation issues addressed.
