InterTrak Couples Passenger Safety and Vehicle Security

    FRISCO, Texas--Jan. 9, 2002--InterTrak(SM) Tracking Services, L.L.C., an emergent Telematics equipment and service provider announces it will be showing its innovative "LifeTrak(TM)" Automatic Collision Notification (ACN) device at the 2002 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from Jan. 8-11, 2002. "LifeTrak" is one of the select wireless safety technologies featured at the ComCARE Alliance Technology Demonstration in Washington D.C. on July 19, 2001. Entitled "Making America Safer: the 2001 Wireless Safety Technology Demonstration" was co-sponsored by the co-chairs of the Congressional Wireless Caucus. InterTrak has partnered with Televoke and Cellemetry to deliver the "LifeTrak" ACN accessory providing unprecedented safety using wireless technology to automatically notify call centers and family members in the event of a traffic accident.

    How does it all Work?

    LifeTrak is a multi-stage crash sensor accessory that connects to the AutoTrak device. AutoTrak may also be connected to the car alarm, door locks, engine starter and many other functions.
    When a LifeTrak equipped vehicle crashes, it commands AutoTrak to automatically send an alarm message over the Cellemetry(R), a Numerex wireless data network service, network via the Televoke Network to the InterTrak call center for confirmation, and an operator immediately calls the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) with detailed information on event, location, vehicle, and driver medical profiles.
