Alpine Expands Mobile Entertainment Product Line With New Wide Screen Monitors

TORRANCE, Calif., Jan. 8 -- Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electronics, today unveiled two new stand-alone widescreen monitors to complement its impressive mobile entertainment product line. The new monitors were designed exclusively to deliver vivid picture quality and wide-angle viewing under the constantly shifting conditions of the mobile environment.

New for 2002 are Alpine's TME-M760 6.5-inch and TME-M580 5.8-inch widescreen color LCD monitors, both featuring a slim new design and easy-to-use buttons on the front panel. The TME-M760 and TME-M580 feature Alpine's own Source Selection Setup Memory, which allows the monitors' visual and audio settings to be specified and stored for maximum picture quality for video games, DVD/VHS movies or other input sources. With a 16:9 aspect ratio, Alpine's new monitors provide vivid visual displays for all passengers, both big and small. Both monitors feature a dedicated navigation input and can be paired with Alpine's PowerNav(TM) system to create a stand-alone navigation system.

In addition to the new 2002 monitors, Alpine offers a wide range of premium A/V products and accessories for enjoying multimedia entertainment in the car, including fully motorized in-dash and overhead monitors; an in-dash DVD player and 6-disc DVD/CD changers; wireless headphones; an A/V controller with built-in TV tuner; and a new in-dash DVD/CD tuner with a built-in MP3 decoder.
