World's Second Largest Automotive Supplier to Produce IBOC Digital AM & FM Receivers for Automakers LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8 -- International Consumer Electronics Show - iBiquity Digital Corporation, the sole developer and licenser of digital AM and FM broadcast technology in the United States, announced it has licensed iBiquity's IBOC (In-Band On-Channel) AM and FM digital broadcast technology to Visteon Corporation. Visteon will integrate iBiquity's IBOC digital AM and FM technology into receivers slated for availability to automakers in the 2004 model year timeframe. Visteon Corporation is a leading full-service supplier that delivers consumer-driven technology solutions to automotive manufacturers worldwide.

``Visteon is committed to providing our customers with the most technically advanced sound management systems for the automotive environment,'' said John Kill, Visteon Corporation's Vice President of Product Development. ``The license agreement to integrate iBiquity's AM and FM digital radio technology will advance our efforts to supply our customers with the highest possible audio quality for consumers.''

iBiquity Digital's IBOC technology transforms today's radio experience by allowing broadcasters to seamlessly transmit digital quality audio alongside existing analog-based broadcasts, as well as offering the ability to deliver wireless data simultaneously for a wide variety of consumer applications, including traffic, weather and artist information and much more. IBOC digital radios, such as those being developed by Visteon, will enable consumers to receive these signals with audibly improved fidelity.

At this week's CES 2002 exhibition in Las Vegas, Visteon's functioning IBOC OEM radio model will be showcased at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the iBiquity Digital booth (#7627- North hall) and in the Texas Instruments booth (#13737 - South hall). Developed to fit within a standard automotive radio chassis, this model employs the latest IBOC DSP-based solution from Texas Instruments and, in addition to providing the digital quality sound that the iBiquity system is renowned for, it will also include a display screen offering real-time information.

``We are extremely pleased to have Visteon as a licensee because their importance and influence within the automotive industry is without question,'' said Robert Struble, President and CEO, iBiquity Digital Corporation. ``Our work to date with Visteon has been extremely successful and the conclusion of this agreement allows Visteon to quickly finalize its development and enter production of AM and FM digital radios for its automotive customers.''
