Polk & Co. Automotive Trend Centers To Track Opinions of Visitors at NAIAS 2002
R. L. SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 4 -- Visitors to the 2002 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS 2002) will get their chance to rave about the concept cars, rank their favorite exhibits -- and even reveal how much they spent on their formalwear for the black-tie Charity Preview -- thanks to R. L. Polk & Co., the global automotive industry's premier information solutions provider.
Thousands of visitors to NAIAS 2002 will be able to cast their votes at five high-tech Polk Trend Centers located throughout Detroit's Cobo Center. These easy-to-use computer platforms will allow attendees to cast votes on a variety of fun topics including: favorite concept vehicle, favorite vehicle color, favorite exhibit and favorite vehicle features.
Each of the Polk Trend Centers will feature two computer terminals where users will cast their votes, and two large plasma screens will display the real-time survey results and facts about NAIAS 2002.
``We are excited to help attendees cast their votes during the North American International Auto Show,'' said Stephen Polk, president, chairman and CEO of R. L. Polk & Co. ``Polk Trend Centers provide a fun, interactive and informative experience for Auto Show visitors, who provide feedback that is very important to auto dealers and manufacturers.''
The Polk Trend Centers are not only useful for providing an entertaining way for people to express themselves. The data they gather is used by the automotive industry in creating more popular automobiles with features that people want, and in making the North American International Auto Show a better event each year for the general public.
