Acura Shatters 10-Year Sales Record...(Acura) Fueled by hot sales of the best-selling 3.2 TL luxury performance sedan and strong demand for the MDX luxury SUV and the RSX sports coupe, Acura Division posted record year-end sales of 170,469, according to sales figures released today by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Acura 2001 sales were up 19.5 percent from 2000, and shattered the previous year-end sales record of 143,708 set in 1991.

Audi Breaks All-Time U.S. Sales Record - 2nd Consecutive Year; Best A4 Month Ever...(Audi) Audi of America reported its all-time best sales year and has broken its U.S. sales record of 80,372 units sold in 2000. Total Audi sales for 2001 are 83,283, up 3.6 percent over 2000 sales. For the month, Audi reported sales of 7,218, down 3.0 percent over last year's mark of 7,440.

Total sales for December were a best-ever 144,202, an increase of 7.6 percent over the same period last year.
