Toyota Sets Sales Record for Sixth Year in a Row
TORRANCE, Calif., Jan. 3 -- Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported best-ever year-end total sales of 1,741,254 vehicles, up 7.5 percent. 2001 marks the 12th consecutive year that Toyota sold more than one million cars and trucks, and the sixth year-in-a-row that TMS set a total year-end sales record.
Total sales for December were a best-ever 144,202, an increase of 7.6 percent over the same period last year.
