Porsche Reports U.S. Sales Up 17 Percent
ATLANTA, Jan. 3 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc., (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States, today announced U.S. retail sales for December totaled 1,744 cars, for an increase of 17 percent over the same period last year. In addition, year-to-date sales in the U.S. closed up 3 percent over last year, with a total of 23,041 cars sold in the U.S.
``The totals only tell part of the story,'' said Fred Schwab, PCNA President
and CEO.
``This has been the best year in our history for 911 sales (up 18
percent for the year and 42 percent for the month), the best year in history
for 911 Turbo sales (up 109 percent for the year) and the best overall U.S.
sales year since 1987.
The success is a result of providing what our
customers want.''
