Infiniti Reports Increase in Sales - I35 Reports Best December
GARDENA, Calif., Jan. 3 -- Led by the 2002 I35 luxury sedan, Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc. today reported December sales of 5,912 units, a 19.9 percent increase over last December. Following its best November sales month, I35 reported its best December ever with sales of 2,979 units, a 25.6 percent increase over December last year. Sales for Infiniti's flagship Q45 luxury performance sedan were up 30.7 percent versus last December with sales of 417 units.
Rounding out the division, G20 posted sales of 1,006 units, a 32.9 percent increase over last December while QX4 posted sales of 1,510 units, a 1.8 percent increase over last December.
Nissan North America, Inc.'s combined sales for December, including Nissan and Infiniti divisions, totaled 61,172 units, an increase of 10.1 percent versus last year.
Infiniti Division's calendar year 2001 sales totaled 71,365 units, an 8.9 percent decrease versus CY2000. Nissan North America, Inc.'s combined sales for CY2001, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions, totaled 703,338 units, a 6.5 percent decrease versus CY2000.

These exciting products will add to our enthusiasm and brand awareness while strengthening our current lineup and market presence.''
