ADVISORY/Motor Trend to Announce 2002 `Truck of the Year' Winner in Phoenix

WHAT: (Friday, December 28, 2001) One day before the public opening of
      the Arizona International Auto Show, Motor Trend Magazine will 
      unveil the winner of its internationally coveted 2002 "Truck of
      the Year" award.

      Motor Trend's editorial staff selected this year's winner after
      conducting ten rigorous tests on six trucks. In identifying the
      winner, factors including engineering, powertrain, payload,
      performance, interior, safety, quality, special features, 
      liveability, and overall value were evaluated. Including both 
      domestic and import manufacturers, the six contenders included: 
      the Cadillac Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Dodge Ram 
      pickup, GMC Sierra 1500HD Crew Cab, Sierra Denali Quadrasteer 
      and Lincoln Blackwood.

      After the award is announced, the media is invited to check out
      the auto show as all of the vehicles are moving into the Civic 
      Plaza. On display for the first time this year will be a special
      Hot Rod Magazine Live! exhibition of specialty customized 
      vehicles and street rods. Catch these specialty vehicles as they
      arrive at the show.
