S&P Afrm Rtg on CBTC Ford Motor Co Debentr-Bk 2001-36

    NEW YORK--Standard & Poor's--Dec. 20, 2001-- Standard & Poor's affirmed its triple-'B'-plus rating on the corporate-backed trust certificates series 2001-36 issued by Corporate Backed Trust Certificates Ford Motor Co. Debenture-Backed Series 2001-36 Trust (the Trust). This rating action follows the deposit of an additional $25,501,000 of Ford Motor Co. debentures into the Trust and the issuance of an additional $25,501,000 of certificates.
    The rating reflects the credit quality of the underlying securities, $58,501,000 aggregate principal amount of Ford Motor Co. 7.70% notes due May 15, 2097, and addresses the likelihood of the trust making payments as required under the trust agreement.
