On Thursday, December 20, 2001 Lands’ End is lending a helping hand to Mother
Nature and creating a white Christmas where it has never snowed before, Mesa,
Arizona. Sunshine Acres Children’s Home will be blanketed with four to six
inches of snow!

Sunshine Acres is a non-profit home for homeless children. It is home to nearly
70 resident children and they will have a chance to frolic in the snow – for
most, this will be the first time in their lives to ever see snow! Not only
will the children of Sunshine Acres receive their first-ever white Christmas,
they will be dressed for the occasion. Lands’ End will also outfit the children
from head-to-toe in winter wear to make playing in the snow more fun.

Santa Clause will also help Lands’ End by doing them a favor. He is going to
swing down from the North Pole a little early to bring gifts to the children of
Sunshine Acres and spread the holiday cheer.

Video Highlights Package Will Include:
¨ Transformation into a Winter Wonderland
¨ Children’s reaction to their first-ever snow and Santa
¨ Soundbites from Carol Whitworth, Executive Director of Sunshine Acres
¨ Soundbites from Children of Sunshine Acres and Scott Lunz, spokesperson for
  Lands’ End

Lands’ End treated customers to a variety of holiday surprises ranging from free
orders to $1,000 gift certificates, to a donation made to the Make A Wish
Foundation in the name of Lands’ End customers.
