ESW Develops a Catalyst For Hydrogen Fuel Cell Applications-Bye Bye OPEC

MARKHAM, Ontario--Dec. 13, 2001--Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (OTCBB: ESWW) (ESW), a company that develops, manufactures and sells environmental technologies, today announced that the Company is developing a new product called the Hygen Cat(TM). This new converter product is specifically designed to reduce emissions for low-temperature low-volume hydrogen fuel cell applications.
ESW has entered into an agreement with a major North American Hydrogen Fuel Cell manufacturer where ESW's Hygen Cat(TM) will be evaluated to determine if it can be utilized with the manufacturer's product. ESW's engineers will be working closely with the client's technicians in evaluating the Hygen Cat(TM) in conjunction with the applications of the manufacturer.
Bengt Odner, Chairman of ESW, remarked, "We anticipate that the development of the Hygen Cat(TM) will bring the company into the future. We are striving to produce a product range that will cover present and future demand for our proprietary catalytic converter lines. Even though the emissions produced by the hydrogen fuel cell are minute, it requires a very specialized catalytic solution to bring the technology to a true near-zero emission. We believe that the potential development of the Hygen Cat(TM) will enable ESW to achieve those requirements."
Mr. Odner further commented, "ESW is proud to be part of this exciting era of new pollution-free technologies. Upon completion, we believe this new product development will be a testament to the skill and determination of our team of engineers and technicians within the R&D division of the Company."
