Reynolds and Reynolds Ranked in Top 25 Percent of eWeek's FastTrack 500

    DAYTON, Ohio--Dec. 13, 2001--

Company Earns Its Place Among the US's Top E-Business Innovators Through Superior People, Processes and Technology

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company today announced that the company was named to eWeek's FastTrack 500 listing of the top e-business innovators in the United States.
Ranked at No. 111, Reynolds earned its spot by demonstrating a willingness to deploy cutting-edge information technologies in every phase of its operations.
"Reynolds has always been a technology leader in the automotive retailing industry, but this recognition by eWeek goes well beyond our own industry and places us among the giants in Internet-based technologies," said Jeff Almoney, vice president of Reynolds' Application Services. "This recognition is a direct result of Reynolds' substantial investment in the best people, processes and technology, all made in order to best serve our customers."
According to eWeek, this year's FastTrack 500 winners realize that e-business is clearly where business is going, weaving Internet-based technologies into critical processes and operations -- both within their own walls and throughout their interactions with customers, suppliers and partners. The result: clear, bankable benefits for customers.
"Our company truly has embraced e-business technology, and as a result, have improved operational efficiencies, cut costs and solidified relationships with key customers and suppliers," said Almoney. "It's great to see our investments in e-business recognized as best-in-class, and even greater to see our customers reaping the benefits of them."
To select the winners of this year's FastTrack 500, eWeek first looked at the IT architecture of each candidate, identifying key technologies that reflect IT innovation. Next, candidates were evaluated on the quality and robustness of their Web sites. This evaluation was based on an extensive list of criteria, ranging from navigation to detailed e-commerce functionality.
