"SWIFT SHOWOFF" CAR SHOW & 1/8-MILE DRAG RACES - RE-RESCHEDULED TO JAN 19, 2002

Irwindale, Calif.  - - A special evening of beautiful automobiles and exciting street legal drag racing  originally set for Saturday, November 24, 2001 from 6 to 11 pm at Irwindale Speedway and Dragstrip has been further rescheduled to Saturday, January 19.  

The "Swift Showoff" Car Show and 1/8-Mile Street Legal Drag Races will run at the Speedway (Live Oak at the 605 Freeway in Irwindale) on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and feature literally hundreds of the wildest custom cars and hottest racers that anyone has seen gathered in one place at one time.   

Fourteen categories of show cars will be on display and under judging for awards in the following divisions:  2-door street, 2-door mild, 2-door wild, 4-door street, 4-door mild, 4-door wild, Domestic, Full-Size Car, SUV, Van, Full Size Truck Street, Full Size Truck Mild, Mini-Truck Street, and Mini-Truck Mild.

In the motorcycle division awards will be given for:  Best Bike Club, Best of Show, Best Honda, Best Yamaha, Best Kawasaki, Best Suzuki, Best Harley (or American), and Best Ducati.

Club participation awards will also be presented for:  Best Club points, Best of Show, Best Vinyl Graphics, Best Paint, Best Engine, and Best Interior.

General admission will be $10 at the door only and event coverage will be by DUB Magazine. Vehicles may pre-register for $30 or register at the event for $35.
