Crown Group, Inc. Not Involved in Casino Bidding Process

    IRVING, Tex.--Dec. 10, 2001--On Friday, December 7, 2001, a news report by an entity unaffiliated with the Company erroneously indicated that Crown Group, Inc. is a participant in the bidding process for casino gaming licenses in Macau. In order to eliminate any confusion potentially caused by this report, Crown Group today stated that it is not involved in this process in any way. Consistent with the Company's previously announced objective of focusing exclusively on its America's Car-Mart subsidiary, Crown Group does not currently anticipate involvement in any operations outside of the automotive sales and finance industry.
