Trilogy Taps Automotive Industry Veterans for Detroit

AUSTIN, Texas--Dec. 10, 2001--Trilogy, a leading provider of e-business solutions for the automotive industry and the Fortune 1000, today announced the appointment of two industry veterans as customer partners for its Detroit automotive operations.

Lee Sage joins Trilogy as a customer partner to bolster the company's innovative e-business activities with Ford Motor Co. Tim Longnecker, as a customer partner, will be part of the industry customer partnership team.

Sage spent 15 years at Ernst & Young Consulting, where he was a partner and a global leader of the Auto Industry Practice and the Reengineering Practice. Under his leadership, both organizations grew in size, revenues and credibility in the industry. While at E&Y, Sage co-founded the PACE Awards in conjunction with Automotive News to recognize innovative automotive suppliers. Last year, he crystallized his ideas in a book, ``Winning the Innovation Race,'' which advises executives on adapting speed and innovation to businesses in any industry.

In 2000, Sage founded Autolink.com, a Web-based service offering marketing, procurement and training for automotive dealers, manufacturers and aftermarket companies. He is recognized as a thought leader in the automotive industry and is a frequent speaker at business forums.

Longnecker began his automotive career at Ford Motor Credit before joining Deloitte Consulting and serving as a partner in the Automotive Manufacturing and Financial Services Practices. During 10 years at the firm, he spearheaded several IT and business transformation initiatives.

After his success at Deloitte, Longnecker founded, funded and built Dynamis Solutions Inc., a global consulting firm serving clients in North America and Europe, employing a relationship-based client services model that earned the firm several large client relationships.

``With their experience and expertise, Lee Sage and Tim Longnecker personify Trilogy's commitment to customer success in the automotive industry,'' said Joe Liemandt, Trilogy CEO and acting head of its Automotive Business Unit. ``Lee and Tim will further Trilogy's reputation as a leader and innovator in global automotive demand-chain technology and e-business solutions.''

Trilogy's customer partners are responsible for helping clients attain 100 percent success, a jointly developed agreement on a project's return on investment (ROI) that is the lynchpin of Trilogy's company strategy. Trilogy's Automotive Business Unit provides leading technology and solutions to such automotive OEMs as Ford, Nissan, Renault.
