No Zoom Zoom for Mazda in Europe
December 10, 2001
Sacramento - Despite new models aimed at getting the company back on track and success in both Asia and North America, Mazda officials told the Financial Times that Europe will remain an unprofitable market, probably for the next two years. Competition amongst many smaller vehicles will make it difficult for Mazda to compete in Europe.
Mazda did report that it is forecasting a net profit of around $11 million in its fiscal year ended March 31, 2002.
