Acura Bests All-Time Full-Year Sales Figures

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 3 -- Acura set a new November sales record, up 5.8 percent to 13,645 vehicles, breaking the previous record of 12,902 set in 2000. Year-to-date sales are up 20.7 percent to 155,806. "These figures speak volumes about the quality and desirability of our products," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of sales. "With one month still remaining in 2001, year-to-date totals have easily surpassed Acura's all-time full-year sales record of 143,708 set in 1991." Sales of the number one-selling 3.2 TL luxury performance sedan continued to rise, surpassing the previous record set in 1999, and setting a November sales record of 5,233 units, up 9.3 percent over 2000 figures. Hampered by limited availability, the all-new RSX sports coupe also helped to boost November's record setting totals, with 2,350 units sold while demand for the award-winning MDX luxury sport utility vehicle also remained strong, reporting sales of 3,497.
