Porsche Cars North America Reports November US Sales Down 3%
ATLANTA, Dec. 3 -- Porsche Cars North America (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States and Canada, today announced U.S. retail sales for November totaled 1778 cars, 3 percent fewer than for the same period last year. Calendar year-to-date sales in the U.S. are up 2 percent.
``The response to the newly re-designed and upgraded 911 Carrera has been tremendous,'' said Fred Schwab, PCNA President and CEO. ``911 Carrera sales are up by 11 percent over last November, making this the best November ever for 911 sales in the U.S. What's more, sales this year remain higher than last, and we have done that without offering incentives.'' PCNA is also preparing for the market introduction of three new models based on the 911; the GT2, the Targa and the Carrera 4S.
