Infiniti Reports 27.0 Percent Increase in Sales-Q45 Up 100%

GARDENA, Calif., Dec. 3 -- Led by the significantly enhanced 2002 I35 luxury sedan, Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc. today reported November sales of 6,100 units, a 27.0 percent increase over last November.

The new I35 reported its best November ever with sales of 3,147 units, a 29.7 percent increase over November last year. The powerful I35 went on sale Sept. 12 and features an all-new 255-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine along with a myriad of standard features including a Bose® 200-watt premium audio system with 6-disc CD changer, High Intensity Discharge (HID) xenon headlights, Traction Control System (TCS) and 17-inch wheels and tires.

Sales for Infiniti's flagship Q45 luxury performance sedan, completely redesigned for the 2002 model year, were up 106.5 percent versus last November with sales of 413 units.

Rounding out the division, the QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle posted sales of 1,744 units, a 28.1 percent increase over last November while G20 posted sales of 796 units.

Nissan North America, Inc.'s combined sales for November, including Nissan and Infiniti divisions, totaled 56,223 units, an increase of 6.9 percent versus last year.
