Delphi Shutters Italian Facility
December 4, 2001
Sacramento - Delphi Automotive Systems announced late last week that it is moving ahead with plans to shut down operations at its Desio, Italy facility. The unit produces door latches, wiring harnesses and suspension modules, primarily for European-made cars.
Delphi said it would aim to cease all operations at the facility by the end of the first quarter of 2002. About 96 people work there.
