IEMI Announces Symbol Change; Moving Forward to Implement Business Plan

    HOLLYWOOD, Fla.--Dec. 3, 2001--(OTCBB:IEME), formerly known as International Environmental Management, Inc., announced today that its trading symbol had been changed effective Wednesday, November 28, 2001, from IEMI to IEME to reflect the change in the Company's name.
    Harold Solomon, President of IEMI, stated that IEMI intends to move forward with a business strategy to combine recycling businesses in South Florida. He noted that IEMI hopes to complete its first acquisition by the end of 2001. "We anticipate that the implementation of our business strategy will increase IEMI's revenues and result in profitable operations," Mr. Solomon said. He reported that IEMI has executed three letters of intent to acquire compatible businesses and continues to discuss additional business combinations with other companies.
    IEMI operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Broward Recycling, Inc., which has been located in Hollywood, Florida, since 1980. Broward Recycling, Inc., is a full-service non-ferrous metal recycling buy-back center. Commercial, industrial accounts and the general public bring aluminum cans, all types of aluminum, copper, brass, automobile radiators, copper-aluminum condensing coils, stainless steel, cast aluminum, cast aluminum wheels, insulated copper and aluminum wire and other recyclable items to the recycling center. The material is weighted on state certified scales and the customer is paid cash on the spot for their recyclable material.
